Henrietta
Davis
This rave of soprano Henrietta Davis as Bess
in "Porgy and Bess" is a more than appropriate characterization
of the sum and substance of her professional journey. Like Gershwin's Bess,
Ms. Davis' credentials, reputation, and body of work show her to be at once
a versatile, passionate, tender, strong, affecting, and multifaceted
vocalist. |
