Charlene’s credits include the David
Lettermen Show, Oprah, Eddie Murphy, Martha Wash & Aaron Hall,
Commercials for Alamo, Dodge, Mazda and Nissan.
Charlene is not just know as a “gospel singer” only but she has
worked with many famous R & B recording artists such as Martha Wash,
Jocelyn Brown, Michael McDonald, Jeanie Tracy, Victor Cook, the
late Izora Rhodes Armstead, and “Sylvester”.
Other recording artist such as
Dr. John, The Charlie Daniels Band, Maria Muldaur – along with Bob
Wier, toured with The Weather Girls for 10 years as the musical
director, appeared on many shows such as Arsenio Hall, Joan Rivers &
Garry Shandling, Jay Leno, and David Letterman, commercials for
Mazda, Dodge/Sprint, Nissan and Alamo Rent-a-Car, she auditioned for
Showtime at The Apollo. She has performed at many clubs as well
such as Catch One (L.A.), Studio 54, Palladium and Sweet Waters in
NYC, and Ruby Skyy in San Francisco.
In 2005 she was featured on Jay-J
CD entitled “Connected”, the song she sang was the first released
single entitled “With Him” which is a “house-gospel” tune that hit
the Billboard Charts and still is real big here, the UK and Europe ( www.shiftedmusic.com)

She toured in Yokohama Japan
November 15, 2007 through February 15, 2008 doing her thing still traveling with the
spirit of her mother in her heart. She is member of the Bay Area
Chapter of NABFEME based in NYC –

– thanks to her girlfriend Brenda Vaughn, they are doing their
thing in Japan – plus they work together in the NABFEME
organization, networking and meeting more strong women of color who
have goals and purpose. She still fulfills her duties at City of
Refuge United Church of Christ where Bishop Yvette Flunder is pastor
in San Francisco, having skilled friends like Maverick Howard to
cover her by playing for the choir and the service when she is out
of town and Min. Ann Jefferson and Min. Yvonne Evans and her
daughter Jovann Jones keeping the music and the choir going is such
a blessing. The Refugees are her family and she is loved by them.

financial manager and chartered retirement planning counselor,
Patricia M. Barksdale is Vice President and Wealth Management
Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Newark, NJ where she assists
individuals and corporations both domestically and
internationally with complex financial issues. Recently elected
to the Kean University Foundation Board of Directors, Barksdale
graduated from Kean in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Economics and Finance after earning an Associate of Arts degree

Union
County

Meet Simply JP, a Gospel musician who
also conducts gospel music workshops and lectures across
the
USA
. JP believes that God uses people who are willing vessels
to not only listen to the �still small voice,� but to
follow its lead. She has used her gift to inspire and
bring hope to everyone she comes in contact with. JP
has performed with Amy Grant, Doug Stone, Ronnie Milsap,
Billie Ray Cyrus, Anne Murray and Charlie Pride to name a
few. Most
recently her works were nominated in
several Dove Awards categories; her
Gospel CD, "Just As I Am, Favorite Hymns of Faith"
was nominated for Best Traditional Gospel CD;
"My Faith Looks Up To Thee,"
nominated for
Best Inspirational Song of the Year and
her versions of "Blessed Assurance" and
"Precious Lord" were both nominated Best
Traditional Song Of The Year.

Welcome to the Charlene Moore Experience

We first experienced Charlene Moore at the 2007
NABFEME International Women's Leadership Summit where
she was instrumental in the formation and performances
of the NABFEME Choir.
Charlene is a dynamic anointed singer who epitomizes a
person walking in their calling. She serves as Musical
Director of The Mass Choir of the City of Refuge
United Church of Christ in
San Francisco
under the leadership of Bishop Yvette Flunder. As
part of her European Tour, the Japanese are currently
enjoying the Charlene Moore Experience nightly
at Cafe' Dolphin in
Yokohama, Japan.
